Important notice about STEREO Behind

STEREO Planet Finder

Shown here are the computed positions of various bright planets (out to Saturn) in recent SECCHI beacon images. In some cases, the planets themselves will not show up in the images, either because they're blocked by an occulter, or because that part of the field of view is missing from the image.

You can also find out what planets are visible for other dates.

The STEREO space weather beacon telemetry mode is a very low rate, highly compressed data stream broadcast by the spacecraft 24 hours per day. These data are used for space weather forecasting. Because of the large compression factors used, these beacon images are of much lower quality than the actual science data.
