STEREO's unique view of the new solar cycle.

The Sun is waking up from the solar minimum and starting to produce coronal mass ejections (CMEs) and flares in greater numbers. Here STEREO images a spectacular CME that blasted off a few days ago from a region that is continuing to produce activity as it comes around the solar limb to face Earth.
