June 2011 CME as seen in COR1, COR2, HI-1, and HI-2

A spectacular coronal mass ejection and associated prominence eruption in June 2011 is seen as it progresses through the fields-of-view of the COR-2, HI-1 and HI-2 telescopes on STEREO Ahead. It's highly unusual for the prominence material to be so clearly seen in all three telescopes.

This running difference movie combines data from the COR-2 (blue), HI-1 and HI-2 telescopes (red) from the STEREO Ahead spacecraft to show a spectacular coronal mass ejection and associated prominence eruption in June 2011.
