Important notice about STEREO Behind

Orbits of the STEREO spacecraft about the Sun

STEREO's final destination orbits, reached three months after launch. Spacecraft A orbits faster than Earth and thus moves ahead while Spacecraft B orbits more slowly so that is falls behind. The spacecraft separate from each other at about 45 degrees per year. - NASA
