Colors of June Days — June 5 –10, 2007

We present the Sun from STEREO (the Ahead spacecraft) in all our four wavelengths of extreme ultraviolet light over a period of six days (June 5 –10, 2007). The still shows representative images from the four wavelengths. Going clockwise, they are 304 Angstroms (red), 171 Angstroms (blue), 284 Angstroms (yellow), and 195 Angstroms (green). Various features appear differently in each wavelength; but one thing is consistent across the wavelengths: active regions appear brighter. Probably the most interesting events in these movies are the three eruptive prominences seen breaking away from the Sun in the EUVI 304 movie.
