3D Spicule — March 20, 2007

A spicule pokes out above the Sun's North Pole region on March 20, 2007 in this closer view. The 3D image was created from two spacecraft by combining images in three extreme ultraviolet wavelengths: 304, 171 and 195 angstroms from each.
